KEC is hiring for the position of Groundman, based at its location in Karnes City, Texas, until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2025.
This is an entry level position that is a part of KEC Apprentice Lineman Program, which is intended to provide all training and development needed to progress up to a First Class Lineman.
The purpose of this position is to perform both skilled and unskilled types of line construction, maintenance, operations and service work, and other assigned duties while working as a helper to a serviceman or construction crew.
Required to have a good attitude, safe work ethic, valid driver’s license, and the ability to perform frequent moderate to heavy lifting. Must have the ability to use/learn Microsoft 365 applications and obtain knowledge of the cooperative’s business software. Must be willing to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within 9 months of hire.
